On November 5, 2013, the US Department of Justice published further comments on the US Program.
According to Patrick Odier , the President of the Swiss Banking Association, these further comments add to the uncertainty and will make the fulfillment of the US Program more costly to the banks. For example, the Category 2 Banks, will have to hire independant experts to evaluate the risks.
Patrick Odier also insisted that Switzerland is well ahead of most countries regarding the banks’ capitalization.
Switzerland could also consider the automatic exchange of information in the near future.
